About The Cultural Peaks Tour
This tour blends architectural drama, high altitude landscapes, and cultural heritage into a single memorable half day, centered on the Aragatsotn region where the deep Kasakh River Canyon meets the foothills of Armenia's highest mountain. We visit two extraordinary cliffside monasteries, Hovhannavank and Saghmosavank, before stopping at the striking Armenian Alphabet Monument, 39 giant stone letters set at the foot of Mount Aragats. From there we climb to Lake Kari, a still alpine lake at over 3,000 metres, before descending to a modern winery for a tasting that captures Armenia's volcanic terroir.
